Anthony answered this question in another thread. Hope it helps:
1.4 (to be actually 2.0 due to the sweeping changes and new features) will be a bit more tricky. The easiest way is to make a package of your content, then uninstall uBlogsy. There are some doctype name changes so you'll need to change the doctype names in the xml file. Install the new uBlogsy, then your content package.
We have begun working with uBlogsy for a large corporate blog. Our boss has given us a launch date of October. We are still in the early enough stages that we could use 2.0 if it were ready. But the longer it takes, we will be forced to use 1.33. We are doing so many custom tweaks that once we go down this road, there's little chance that we will be able to go back and upgrade.
We tried using 1.4 Beta, but found it to be too buggy. The main feature that we need to take advantage of is the Author RSS feeds. Right now our developer is racking his brain trying to figure out a way to do it in 1.33.
So if you have a close estimation of the launch date, it would be extremely helpful for us to know.
Is there any update on the 2.0 release date? I know it can be difficult to give exact dates - but are we looking at hours, days, weeks or months?
Like Eric, we're working to a deadline - if 2.0 is likely to be ready in a few days (say by the end of next week), then we can probably use it.
If not, I guess we'll have to use 1.33 (or an alternative blog) and because we will also be customising it, upgrading after the event doesn't seem realistic.
If you're after an extra feature or 2 which 2.0 will offer then you can very easily make it yourself in 1.35.
The reason 2.0 is taking so long is because of the amount of features (and their complexities) has required a complete re-jigging of the project to keep it maintainable.
Thanks for that - can you please summarise the key features which are in 2.0 but not in the stable 1.33 version, so we can decide which way we go with this?
I'm also very insterested in the upcoming version 2.0. And I could easily live with the 1.4beta while setting up the new site ... but just to be sure I'd like you to confirm, that the upgrade procedure from 1.4beta to 2.0 will be easier than upgrading from 1.35 to 2.0.
Version 2.0 release date?
Any news on when 2.0 will be out?
I'm wondering if I should wait to install uBlogsy until 2.0 comes out.
If I install 1.33 now and upgrade later to 2.0 - how difficult or problematic will it be to upgrade?
Hi
2.0 beta will be released very soon. Just need to do some performance tweaks.
Cool
How hard will it be to upgrade from 1.33 to 2.0?

Hi Eric
2.0 beta will be out soon. There is a performance issue with umbraco DescendentsOrSelf which I need to look into.
Can help me get 2.0 sttable by telling me about the bugs which you encountered.
Thanks

2.0 beta will be weeks, not months.
Full release depends on how much feedback I get from 2.0 beta
Guys if I were you I would go with 1.35.

They're listed under 1.4.
1.4 will be 2.0 due to the massive changes.

Upgrading from 1.4 to 2.0 will be straight forward.
Replace dlls, add a few doc type properties, and macro script changes which call methods for GetPost() and GetLanding()
