I assume you mean /App_Data/umbraco.config? I've deleted this, but it makes no difference.
In addition to only returning results if the search term is in the SEO Description field, even these will only be picked up after the site has been republished: eg if I add a word to a post's Description then search for it, nothing will be returned until I republish the wntire site.
OK, I spoke too soon. This only seems to work if I recycle the app pool and republish the entire site every time anything changes – otherwise, search is useless and returns no results. I don't think this is really practical on a CMS-driven site, particularly as it's blog-based and therefore likely to change daily!
Search only checks SEO Description field
My installation of uBlogsy searches fine – but only if the search term exists in the Descriptions field on a post's SEO tab. Any ideas?
Try deleting your umbraco.config file and re-publish.
Strange... do you have any custom examine indexes?

hmm... any custom examine indexes?
Have you tried restarting the application?
Thanks, recycling the app pool did it – should have thought of that earlier!
