I've integrated in a website multiple blog instances. They are sharing the default templates uBlogsyBase and uBlogsyBaseSite.
All the blogs would basically have the same structure/layout, only what goes in the sidebar would be different.
So sidebar for blog 1 would be different than the one from blog 2, but both blogs would have sidebars.
So far I have thought of the following two solutions :
1. make user controls out of the sidebars and put logic in the template to deal with which sidebar would go in which blog
2. duplicate the ublogsy templates and make the second blog make use of another uBlogsyBaseSite wich would have the right sidebar.
In your opinion what would be the best approach to do that? Are there other ways to achieve this result, other that the 2 that I've just described ?
Thank you,
Gabriel
I'm more inclind to go with different base master pages. But that's a personal choice
Both solutions are correct.
Your decision should be based on future maintainability and/or possible(probable?) change requests.

1 blog - interchangeable sidebars - multiple sidebars
