First of all thanks for such a brilliant package! and I saw your screencast yesterday where you are demoing ublogsy, the speed at which you were doing that, it seemed to me video was playing 2x the normal speed :)
A quick question, I am working on health articles websites that will have a lot of content. I would want to hide the date from the URL and possibly from the umbraco tree too because that would look very blog like otherwise. Instead I would want to display Categories and subcategories and then the news article in the url and also the umbraco tree structure. I could still keep the dates and years in umbraco tree structure if it is required but definitely not in the url. Something similar to what Frost has done on the thread you posted http://our.umbraco.org/projects/starter-kits/ublogsy/ublogsy-feature-requests/26120-Using-uBlogsy-for-a-news-section
My question is that is it as simple as just renaming them or is the blog written in a way that these cateogrization by date and year is fundamental to its running. Thanks a lot
Ditto, i've got the same requirement - mainly as i'm importing and closing down one of my wordpress blog sites and that uses categories in the url and I need ublogsy to retain that structure so I don't get 404's from people linking in - SEO nightmare!
Not really dug in deep yet but it's deffo possible, just a case of working out how :-)
I managed to make it work back then and the website has been live for several months now although still working on parts of it. If you are just worried about your URLs and 404 error, 301 URL Tracker might be worth checking out. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Out of curiosity, what is the point of categories, isn't that what tags are for? Sematically a tag is a category is a tag.
is working on a reply...
