I'm now also unable to post new blog articles because it results in errors, and has led to the whole blog being unable to load. I've restored to the point where the blog now works apart from not being able to post new stuff and the preview error above, Does anyone know what causes the above and how to fix it?
Failing that, I figure I should probably upgrade uBlogsy and hopefully that will resolve these issues anyway. I'm currently on Umbraco v6.1.6 (Assembly version: 1.0.5021.24867) running uBlogsy 2.1.1.2. What version of uBlogsy should I upgrade to and how do I do that?
There's some minor doctype name differences between versions.
Steps:
1. Create an umbraco package of your old content first.
2. You'll have to modify the package.xml in your content package there are som doctype changes. It's pretty obvious. Just take a look at package.xml in the ublogsy zip
Upgrading uBlogsy from 2.1.1.2
Hi guys,
I've recently found that when I preview an unpublished blog post in uBlogsy I am getting this error right at the top of the page:
Error loading MacroEngine script (file: ~/views/partials/ublogsy/global/ublogsyglobalbrowsertitle.cshtml) Error loading MacroEngine script (file: ~/views/partials/ublogsy/global/ublogsyglobalseometa.cshtml) Error loading MacroEngine script (file: ~/views/partials/ublogsy/global/ublogsyglobalbrowsertitle.cshtml) Error loading MacroEngine script (file: ~/views/partials/ublogsy/global/ublogsyglobalseometa.cshtml)

That version is not compatible with 6. You need ublogsy 3.
Compatibility list:
uBlogsy 4.1.2 (default download) - MVC only, Umbraco 7.2+
uBlogsy 4.1 - MVC only, Umbraco 7.0.4 - 7.1
uBlogsy 4 - MVC only, Umbraco 7.0.0 - 7.0.3 (inclusive)
uBlogsy 3 - MVC, Umbraco 6.x
uBlogsy 3.1 - MVC, Umbraco 6.x
uBlogsy 3 - Webforms, Umbraco 6.x
uBlogsy 2.1.1.2 - Webforms only, Umbraco 4.7+
Thanks Anthony. So If I'm installing uBlogsy 3 then do I just install that as a new package over the top of 2.1.1.2?

4. Then install your content package.
Thanks Anthony,
I really appreciate your help! I am, however, a beginner at this. I don't know how to do steps 1 + 2 in your instructions...
Hi Anthony,
Any chance you could elaborate a bit more on your instructions?
Many thanks
Jon
