Login to DMU using different memebrship provider

    Hi Matt

I had a few small issues yesterday with logging in with DMU and events.

The site has been upgraded to 4.5.2 and is running 3.5 framework on server 2003 R2 / IIS6.

On this site I use an Active Directory Membership provider as the DefaultBackofficeProvider.

An AD user can go to the media section and open DMU no problems by clicking the Launch button.  If the same user tries to launch the application from their desktop they get "Invalid Login".

The only user that can actually login from the desktop is the original admin account (all other users are AD).

Also when uplodading files the Media.AfterSave event isn't getting hit (not sure if it can be or not..)

    Keep up the good work!

    Kind Regards
    Evan

    Hey Evan,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I'm pretty sure I know why the AD sign in isn't working so will look into that as soon as I can and get back to you. The Media.AfterSave issue though I'm not too sure on so will need to investigate a little further.

    Glad you like it though.

    Many thanks

    Matt

    Thanks Matt

The main reason I use the Media.AfterSave is for renaming files when a user has illegal charcters in a filename.

    Cheers
    Evan

    Hi Even,

I've just uploaded a new release, if you'd like to install this (or just swap the DLLs) this should fix both your issues.

    Many thanks

    Matt
