EZsearch returning no results. InternalSearcher and ExternalSearcher do.
Hi,
I have a site using umbraco 7.2.8 and EZsearch 1.2. I was told that some sentences are returning no results when searched using EZsearch.
I'm not sure what seems to be the issues, when I go to the dev -> examine management section in the back end and search the sentence in the external and internal searchers I get the results I need but when I use the default macro from EZsearch the results are always 0. I haven't modified the macro at all.
It is stated that EZSearch has a 62% success rate in v7.2. Upgrading to the current stable release (which is currently 7.3.5 I think) may solve your problem, or at least it would eliminate the possibility your problem has something to do with your version. I know that is easier said than done.
What sort of "sentences" are your clients searching? Do they contain any special characters?

Pretty simple sentences "risks of formula" for example.
I actually tried this solution: https://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/ezsearch/bugs-feedback-suggestions/70848-single-quote-apostrophe-in-search-term-returns-no-results, which for some unknown reason seems to return better results. I'm not sure why adding quotes worked but it did.
