    Search French characters

    Hello

    I am using ezsearch and it is not working when searching for example, 'Francais' but it works when it is typed as follows: 'Français'.

    Is there a way to ignore the culture when searching? Or something else so that the search is done even if the characters are not typed the same way.

    Did you set database collation as UTF-8 ?

    Hello

    Nope. the actual collation is : SQLLatin1GeneralCP1CI_AS The database is live so I wont be able to do the change. Is there anything else that can be done?

    Actually 'Français' is a latin word and Francais is english text So it means search is working properly, because in database character are saved as latin

    Hello

    Thanks but I have lots of other french words that are not being found. Like for example if a word contains 'é'. Results are found only if the word is typed exactly like the node name.

    Is there a solution to that?
