Recently I installed this package for facebook authentication to Umbraco 4.9.1. But it is not working when i click the login button it does not show the dialog box to login to facebook. I checked my api key and secret are alright. there's some problem in this package.
This package is about 3 years old. A lot of things have happened with Umbraco and Facebook since then. The issue is most likely that Facebook have changed their API and thus this package is not working anymore.
Frustrating as it is that's the way open source works sometimes. But perhaps someone will be able to fix the issue if the package creator makes the source available somewhere...but honestly in this case I would not count on it. I think you should try to look for an alternative solution on this one.
well thanks for the reply I need to set the facebook login in a site which has been installed with nforum. how to save the user info from fb login, to the backoffice members. Is there any tutorial to acheive this?
Facebook Connect is not working.
