Firstly this is an amazing pacakge and saved me so much time; I am very grateful to the creators of it!
This is the type of thing that the Umbraco team should grab and incorporate into the CMS distribution .. features like this would turn it from a good CMS to a great one!
It is a shame the project seems to have now been abandoned as would be really useful to have small updates occasionally.
The code would not build against the 7.2 dlls for me; there was only one error, in the Programatic renderer, I tried to fix this but still could not get the Programatic renderer to work.
A thing I would find really useful is if it could index the page <title> tag and retian that for use on the search result page.
If you are looking for a search functionally for your Umbraco 7.2 then I think it would be worth for you to take a look at the ezSearch package, this is a search function for Umbraco MVC sites, and it very easy to configure which fields you want to search in, or if you only want to search in content or media or both.
Thanks .. I have looked at ezSearch but it is just a very very simple wrapper around the Examine code .. The FullTextSearch package is much more complete, it will automatically handle things like queries in quotation marks as google does, which when I tested ezSearch it didn't at all (and many more things). Also of course the main benefit of FullTextSearch is that it indexes the html generated which is imperative if you use dynamic content as I do. It works fine on 7.2 also, just the Programatic rendere is not availale but the Http one works fine.
What an amazing package!
