Are the HttpUrl / HttpHost settings necessary? How does it work in a multi-site configuration? I really just want to add sites and domains via the standard Umbraco interface. Having to edit a physical file (either the FullTextSearch.config or the web.config files) seems like an unnecessary step when all of the domain/host information is already stored by the Umbraco system.
I have already tested on my local machine that I can filter the results by passing a different root node ID as a parameter... although they all all using "localhost:21444" so it may be different in the live hosting environment. So what am I missing with the HttpUrl / HttpHost setting and how can this be edited in the Umbraco admin? I'm concerned as the admin staff who will be running the system shouldn't need to mess with config files when they add a new site...
Nevermind, it seems to work across all websites but I only need to specify one domain. I just had to make sure it was using the correct rootNodeID to only return results for a single site at a time (default returns results across all websites)
