    v7 Support?

    Hi Paul,

Many thanks for releasing this, I have purchased and got it working on my own site beautifully. Do you have any plans to release a v7 version? We have many sites who we would love this on and they do not want to migrate to v8 for the forseable future.

If you do not, would you be up to allowing me to copy your idea and release it myself FOC to the community for v7? Feel free to reach out [email protected]

    Thanks again.

    Hi Jamie

Thanks for purchasing a licence, I saw that come through today.

I'm glad you like the package.

Yes I am going to be releasing a version for Umbraco v7 which will be the same cost and the licence will work with the v8 version if those site upgrade to umbraco v8 in future.

So with that in mind, please don't copy it and release it for v7.

I'll let you know when the v7 version is released, it should be in the next few weeks.

    Kind regards

    Paul

Hi Jamie What’s the oldest version of v7 that your customers are using. I was targeting v7.7 and above.

    Cheers

    Hi Paul,

All customers who would use this package are 7.14 or above. 7.7 would probably be good for most customers though.

    Thanks,

    Jamie

    Hi Jamie

I’ve been working on the v7 version a lot over the weekend, due to some unexpected free time. It is all working on my machine. I just need to work out the caching part and I think I can release the v7 version this week.

    Cheers

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

Tested on: 7.15.3 - all worked great, license purchase/assignment process works fine also. Events came straight through to GA.

    Great work!

    Thanks,

    Jamie

Hi Jamie That’s great to hear. I’m glad it’s all working.

I’ll release this version on Our and NuGet later.

    Thanks again

Hi Jamie I've released this now as a separate package for v7.

Here is the link to the package on Our. https://our.umbraco.com/packages/website-utilities/ga-events-v7/

It is also on NuGet now. https://www.nuget.org/packages/GAEventsv7/

It has been updated slightly to fix an issue with clicking on the placeholders so you might want to use this version on the v7 site you tested it on.

    Kind regards

    Paul
