D'oh, some further feedback to this...I think the crash is related to memory problems on my server...in fact, I am certain of it now :) So one bug down....(nice work)....just the Opera bug to go :)
I just downloaded opera to check this, and was able to upload 315 images (small icons) at once without issues. This was also using umbraco 4.5 and opera 10.60 (the latest stable version).
Hi there dandrayne, thanks so much for looking at it so quickly.
I have double checked and it is definitely not showing. I am on Version 10.60 Build 3445 on Windows Server 2008 64Bit. My Browser Id tag is default: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.0; U; en) Presto/2.6.30 Version/10.60
Below is a screen capture
So now I decided to double check that, and I have tried on my XP machine and it works perfectly fine....weird!
Ok, and now the plot thickens again...I've tried on my Vista Machine,,,weird weird stuff is happening with my Umbraco install....and perhaps I have something wrong with my install or something and this isn't even related to your package. It refuses to load the full admin backend. It gets up to image 23 and that's all I get. Clearing cache doesn't help....works on my other machines....doesn't work in other browsers...
For this reason I think it safe to assume for now there is something going on with my Umbraco Install which is at the cause of this particular problem. What that is, at this stage I don't know. I will report back when I find out what is going on.
I am 99.9% sure now that it is definitely a fault on my server/install For some reason, it just refuses to load images properly...this is what my backend looks like on the Vista Machine (Opera 10.60)
As you can see there are other images missing.
As for why this is happening I really don't know :)
It's beginning to drive me around the bend...but I am at least fairly certain this is not a bug with your package now.
I will keep trying to figure out and I suspect I'll have a new thread on the forum trying to figure this one out :)
Sorry for so many posts. I think I've gone around the bend trying to solve this. The problem has been solved now however. The problem was with the server. It needed a reboot. Not sure exactly what the problem was but for some reason it wasn't serving images to my Vista machine...
I just ran through and tested it all again in the various environments and I have also come to another realisation. First and foremost that I am idiot :) The second is that the reason I don't see the upload button on my server machine is because I haven't got flash installed there. Duh!
I have tested these again and it all works as it should.
So sorry for any inconvenience for having to read through all my posts. I do at least hope this will reduce support if someone else runs into similar problems.
This is pretty darn cool, but I have a few bugs to report
Thank you for you work on this package, it looks really nice :)
I have two bugs to report however;
Does not show the 'upload files' button in Opera 10.61
I tried to do a fairly big upload of probably 100 files or so (a few 100k in size). It crashed at about 20 uploads. This is in the Chrome browser.
I hope that feedback helps and thank you once again for releasing such a helpful package.
Oh. I am working with Umbraco 4.5.0 and version 1.1 of Uploadify

Hi Nacho

Can you double-check this?
Cheers,

p.s. Glad you like it, feel free to vote it up!
