    No textwrap in live enviroment

    Hey Umbraco

When I create a headline with imagegen, and the text is to long for the width, it should textwrap, and do a new line.

It works locally, but not live or in test-enviroment.

I just upgraded to latest .dll, because of some other issues.

But with version 2.0.1.0 there was no issues with the textwrap neither local or live.

According to reference manual, the text should be automatically wrapped if it is to ling for the width.

    Both in standard and pro-version.

    Any ideas ?

Great catch! That's a bug that I'll fix and post shortly. The auto-wrapping was set to require the Professional features, which is always true for localhost and *.local domain.

    cheers,
    doug.

    Hi, Kristoffer,

You'll find ImageGen 2.5.2 in the projects area, ready for download.

You can either uninstall ImageGen 2.5.x and install 2.5.2 from your site's Packages area, or for the quickest updated from 2.5.1, open the ImageGen_2.5.2.zip file and extract the new imagegen.dll into your site's /bin folder, replacing the existing imagegen.dll.

    cheers,
    doug.

    Hi

I'm having the same issue - I updated to 2.5.2 but the text is only wrapping locally - is this a professional feature? Or could my macro being cached or something?

    Thanks!

    Hi, Sarah,

Can you provide a link to the live site so I can see what is/isn't happening?

    cheers,
    doug.

    Hi Doug

I've sent you an email via your website contact form as I am unable to post the live link in a public forum :)

Thank you for such a quick repsonse!

Thanks, Sarah. Email sent back to you. The bulk of which said...

Thanks for the link... extremely helpful.

The solution is to delete all the 'cached' folders that ImageGen uses to keep cached images of the text and resized images. That will force ImageGen to re-create the images correctly. You may also need to clear your browser's cache to see the changes.
This step is only needed when you migrate sites from one server to another and even then only if you see issues like this.
For instance, I manually forced ImageGen to re-create the image below by using the &nocache=true parameter. You'd never use that setting in a production environment but it is helpful for debugging. The docs explain that setting in detail if you're interested.
    cheers,
    doug.

Thanks again Doug for such a quick and helpful reply, that's fixed my issue - I thought I must have been doing something silly as ImageGen is great! :)
