    Plans for v. 4.5 compatibility?

    Hi Doug

    You have any plans for this brilliant package to work with version 4.5 of Umbraco? Of course I had to try installing it, but with no luck.

    Well, just wanted to hear how the plans where for 4.5 compatibility :)

    Hello there

    I am curious as well :-) Just found out that ImageGen is not working in 4.5.1. As Kim ask, are there any plans about 4.5 compatibility?

    I'm pretty sure ImageGen does work on 4.5.1 (I had it working over the weekend)

    I did hit an issue on one install where the custom section wasn't added to the web.config. Can you confirm whether the section has been registered?

    oops..  strange. It was an upgrade from an earlier version of Umbraco. It did not work, and with the "Compatible with: Version 4.0.x schema" at http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/imagegen, I thought there was a problem.

    Anyway, an uninstall, and then install it again = it works!

    Ahh sorry, I had totally forgotten about this post i started three weeks ago. I actually got ImageGen to work back then, thanks to some explanation on Twitter. Just installed it manually instead of going through the package installer.

    But still, how are the plans for 100% compability without manual installation with 4.5x ?

    Hi,

    new to Umbraco and interested in using ImageGen with 4.5.2.

    Tried to install the package and got a screenful of red error message!! Presumably this is what is being referred to here?

     

    If I want to cntinue with my test, how do I install a package manually?

    Hi Geoff

    You can install ImageGen manually by unpacking the files from the package. Then you can copy ImageGen.dll to the /bin-folder and ImageGen.ashx to the /umbraco-folder.

    This should actually do the trick :)
