whitelisting sub (sub) domains, can it be done easier ?

    Hey there :)

Im doing an integration with facebook images and to use imagegen here i need to whitelist all of their image subdomains.

Is there a way of using a wildcard(*) on their domains like :

    <Domain>*.fbcdn.net</Domain>

Because ive spend hour(s) of searching for either a wildcard solution or a full list of sub domains, but they have sooo many.

Sorry, there isn't a wildcard option for whitelisting domains.

The idea is that you don't want to open up your server to be a resizer for external domains and so this gives (forces?) more control over what is and isn't allowed. But as you've found with facebook the list can be extremely long. I'll consider adding this to a future version.

    cheers,
    doug.

I can easily see the risk of exposing it.

Do you know of anyone who has done it with facebook ?

Because without the list of sub domains it will not work.

Don't know of anyone but with tens of thousands of users I'd like to think someone has and can give a pointer or two.

    cheers,
    doug.
