    Search feature

It would be nice to have a simple search feature integrated - so you choose from your list of member properties and enter a value to filter the selection.  Perhaps it could only be enabled for the admin user - so they could go in and configure saved searches for later use.

Even better would be a little AJAX widget so the relevant property datatype would be used to enter the value.  Therefore if you had a dropdown list of values (e.g. Country) associated with your member property, you could use this list to select your value rather than having to type it.

Is it possible to extend this plugin with custom features such as the above?

    Hi Barry,

Was thinking about a small query mechanism where you can select a property and then select equals, contains etc and then specify a value. This will also detrmine the property type so date datatypes will have different options than a textbox. Sorting of properties will also be added to this mechanism.

I like the Admin option that can be configured I guess

Bit abstract when shown in text but when it's done you will like it.

Currently it's not possible to extend this functionality. but for the query editor I will make it extentable so you can add your own behaviour

It will be a Pro version only feature btw.

    Thanks,

    Richard

Sounds great Richard thanks for the input.  Planning to buy the Pro version very soon - have you got a ballpark date for these updates?  Will they be a major or minor revision to the package?

FWIW would also be a nice feature to have a way of previewing the data somehow before you export.. even if its just a recordcound so you know the search has found something.

    Hi Barry,

Will be early next year I guess. Want to create the same version for a V5 version as well. Good news that this package is the first package that will be upgraded to V5.It will be a Major upgrade but all V1 customers will get a free upgrade.Did the same with cmsImport.

Preview intersting, will at least add the recordcount .

    Cheers,

    Richard
