- Create users that can login on umbraco site with a couple of custom properies and diferent profiles, so far so good. i'm thinking in create a new member type adding the properties and filter pages on front end according its type.
- But also those users should be able to post data on nforum. i've already installed nforum and make a few tests on it and it looks a very good forum package so would like to keep the existing functions of it.
So my approuch...
i'm thinking in removing the register and login part from nforum and manage this at my side using a custom login control on my from end and also the registration part. My questios:
First did anyone did this? what issues did you find? what approuch do you recommend.
I think that i need to keep the nforum member type to be able to use nforum, or can i create a new one if i keep the member properties? if not i will use nforum member type and add a couple of other properties that i need at my side.
sharing nforum menbers and custom umbraco members
Hello comunity,
I have the following requirements:
- Create users that can login on umbraco site with a couple of custom properies and diferent profiles, so far so good. i'm thinking in create a new member type adding the properties and filter pages on front end according its type.
- But also those users should be able to post data on nforum. i've already installed nforum and make a few tests on it and it looks a very good forum package so would like to keep the existing functions of it.
So my approuch...

What do you think about this approuch?
Best,
Marco
