I bought a License for my company for this Calendar.
I did as you said, replaced the old PDCalendar.config with the one he did send me. There was absolutly no change, it still works as the non licensed version :-(
Twice I have send you emails regarding this problem, but for some reason you have not replied, therefore i post here in the Forum.
The Umbraco we run on is: umbraco v 4.0.2.1 (Assembly version: 1.0.3441.17657) (soon to be upgraded) PDCalendar is V1.8
Late reply I know, but did you get this fixed and if so what did you do? I am having the same problem currently; Peter is being very helpful but still haven't tracked it down!
Søren: Do you have a configSection in your web.config for the pdcalendar.config? I can put invalid XML in mine and get no errors so I'm wondering if it's not reading it at all. I don't see a config section relatd thing in the DLL so I assume it's not necessary.
It gets weirder, I looked at the DLL metadata and discovered a method:
PDCalendar.validator.Registered(String domain)
...which if I pass my registered domains returns true! So it seems to know what domains it is registered for, it's just that it won't show the full editor for some reason.
Just checked my old mails, here is Peters answer regarding what the problem was in my installation:
Ah now I've made the mistake to send you a licence for version 2.0 of pdcalendar.....you have 1.8.0
I'll set up a quick 4.0.2.1 site and get you a working licence for that
Unfortunatly i have to work with a ancient install of Umbraco, and the upgrade fails always, the upgrade installer is stuck as step #1 forever :-( So i can't upgrade.
Yay! It's now working! The problem was something that I was doing that was so VERY VERY STUPID I'm not going to say what it was. I'm assuming that no-one else would be that stupid so won't suffer the same problem. Thanks for all the help, anyway Soren!
Bought a License, but not working.

I just gotten a mail from Peter, informing me his spam filter got me.
And we are working on the problem right now :-)

Hi Rob
Yep problem was solved with great help from Peter.
The issue was a missunderstanding of what version of his package we did use, we used the old version and the license file was for the new version :-)
Hmmm, okay, I'll double check my packages. So to speak.
I hope you will get the problem fixed.
We a very happy with the package.
Tried both the DLLs available on the home page and no dice :o(
Also tried the archive 2.0.0.0 package and no success...

Hi Rob
I'll gladly check it tommorov, when I am back at work :-)
God morning Rob
There is nothing in the web.config file, but in the config folder there is a pdcalendar.config containing:
I marked the 3 values you need to change with bold.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<PDCConfiguration>
<Appearance>full</Appearance>
<Keys>
<Key email="[email protected]" domain="the domain without http://">the secret key</Key>
</Keys>
</PDCConfiguration>
Hi Soren, thanks for looking at your install!

Sorry to hear it does not work.
