Was wondering if anyone has come up with a good solution for combining PDCalendar and Autofolders together. My company likes Friendly URL's and I would love an Event to display as http://sitename/Events/2009/12/eventname.aspx. I've modified the autofolder to take a date supplied to it and then create the date from there (as opposed to using create date).
My problem is that logically, how do you create sub-folders for a recurring date? Is it best to just use the alphabet instead (http://sitename/Events/e/eventname.aspx)?
I think it's not a good idea to have a seperate node for each date an event is recurring. That way you'll get a very bloated tree (with duplicated nodes all over the place).
The way I intended pdcalendar was to have 1 node for recurring events.
Perhaphs you can use Base for it? I've never used Base before, but I think in this case it could be a perfect solution. You be able to provide a year, month and day, then have Base check to see if there are any events on that date.
