Is it possible to create the PDF and save it into the server?
Also is there any suggestion to make a thumbnail of the first page of PDF created (may be using some other library along with this).

The package won't write to disk just yet. You'd have to write that yourself - it may happen in a future release.
ImageGen may generate PDF thumbnails - I'm not 100% sure though.
You can use this component from TallComponents to create PDF thumbnails dynamically: http://www.tallcomponents.com/pdfthumbnail.aspx
