    Compatibility with Version 7

I just came across this while reading another post in relation to getting View count of a page in Umbraco.

Wondering if this would work in version 7, or what hacks/workaround would be needed to make it work ?

    cheers

    Hey Keilo,

That's a great question.  Theoretically it would work out of the box, but I haven't tested it at all...

    Rob.

    Hi Robert

Came across this again while looking to put in a simple node view counter/view.

I am happy to report that it works in version 7.1.8.

During install it warns about old user control but no errors.

Only thing I noticed is it replaces the PackageActionsContrib.dll (this .dll pre-exists prior to install) with an older version, of which I dont know the consequences...

Hi Keilo, Yes, it hasn't had any love in quite a while, glad it worked out for you - the old user control warning won't affect anything so it's safe to ignore; it's more a reminder for the developer to update to the newer Umbraco api.

the PackageActionsContrib.dll - you could probably ignore the version differences, it hasn't been updated since 2011 so it's probably the same version anyway. If you're curious about what it provides, take a look a its home on CodePlex: http://packageactioncontrib.codeplex.com
