Simple search 4 uCommerce

You can use this package to search in uCommerce products. It´s a simple search, so it only searches in display name, short description and long description. The result is an ul with link, name and long description (which you can shorten).

After installation, you can insert the macro, both in a template or in a texteditor. It´s up to you.

Macro Properties:

• CatalogName
  The name of the catalog to search in
  
  
• ShowProductUrl
  The our of the product page. ex: /shop/product.aspx
  
  
• NoResultText
  The text to be displayed for the user, when no results where found.
  
  
• SubmitButtonText
  The label of the submitbutton
  
  
• LangCultureCode
  The culturecode for the results. Ex: "da-DK"
  
  
• MaxCharactersInResume
  The number of characters to show in searchresult-resume.
  
  

You can also send a querystring (prodSearchQuery) to use the search. Ex.: /shop/search.aspx?prodSearchQuery=lawnmower or you can post a form where the text-fields name-attribute is "prodSearchQueryForm"

OBS: if you have a uCommerce ver. 1.3 or higher, please download the new .dll and replace with the one that came with the package.
