so newbies will be able to utilize the Simple Search 4 Umbraco package?
I'm trying to install it but am finding myself confused by the steps in the PDF. If I could follow a video that lays it out step by step and walks me through it where I could see each step being done, that would be very helpful.
I really want to get your search package working. The search system I have set up right now doesn't operate the way I want it to because I couldn't figure out how to do it. What I want to have is like how your's works on your page here:
A search box in the upper left corner that can appear on all pages of the site, that allows a user to enter their seach terms and submit them, then have the results appear on another page that loads when the search is carried out. The way the existing search system works is it loads the results on the same page that search box appears on. So if I try to set up my search box in the upper corner of all my pages, the results people get will appear on that same page and then the remaining page content will also load. I definitely don't want that, so what I had to do was set up a separate search page that people get to by clicking a Search menu item, which loads up a separate search page. People enter their search on that page and the results appear on that page.
I like your system much better, but haven't been able to get it to work yet, largely due to my newbie status with Umbraco. So if you could provide a dumbed down version of your installation instructions, that would be ideal. Or, any help you can provide to me in trying to get it to work would definitely be appreciated. Thanks for your efforts on this package and I'm sure I'll be very happy with this once I can get it to work.
