We have a found a problem in the latest release of Ucommerce when you view a product in IE 8 it causes a Jscript error and you cannot view any of the details of the product. The Menu structure fails to load also correctly.
To fix this we upgraded the version of this file to
WYSIWYG - jQuery plugin 0.94
The current version is 0.93 in the release.
Currently though the relase of 1.3.0.0 does not support i.e 8 without this fix.
We would also ideally like you to fix this as we don't know if our update on that file, will cause any unseen problems for us. Currently it has not, but we have not done any extensive testing. ;(
At moment though we can get around this by using Chromo or another browser.. But it took a while for us to work this out.
Everyone else we make no warranty that this fix will work for you.. But if you are pulling your hair out...
Cheers,
James
P.S Credit to Matt Swift at Parabolasoft for a fix.
Many thanks for the quick response. Not that is might brighten up your day either we found also the richtext format box was a bit flaky although I am not sure if that is connected to the change we made with the different jquery so you might want to have a look at that also. We did not have some functionality you would expect in it like list generation seem not work and a few other functionality will try and make a full list for you.
As I investigated the WYSIWYG control further it turned out that it would fail. One build would exhibit the IE8 issue you discovered and newer ones some else entirely so I decided to rip it out completely and replace it with tried and true TinyMCE.
I released uCommerce 1.3.0.1 this morning with the new editor in place. I'd appreciate it if you could give it a whirl and tell me how it works for you.

Hi James,
Thanks for reporting the issue. I'll make sure and release an update tomorrow to address the issue.
Hi James,
I tried to repro the issue on my local install here, but didn't see the issue in IE8. Which I'm using Umbraco 4.5.2.
I'm sorry. I wasn't looking in the right place. I've reproduced the issue locally. Fix going in shortly.
Hi,
We have three installs here and two machines, we are using also 4.5.2 all had the same problems until we made the fix.
Very strange.. ;(
hmmm.. If I post some screen shot would that help ?

Windows 7 Professional
Cheers,
James
I've reproduced the issue now. I wasn't looking in the right place. My bad. Fix going in for this and for VAT rounding.

I'll look into it. We might have to reevaluate our choice of RTE.
