Using the richtext editor we copy and paste a large bit of text into it Long description on a product. We then Save the Product with the new Long description and the description appears in the richtext editor and would appear to be saved correctly.
You then click out of the product and click back in to find it has not saved all of the long description it would appear it has a character limit on it so has cut it off.
Can you confirm that is a bug and if will be fixed as interim stage?
We are saving just one. So we copy a large bit of content across into one box and it appears to save but when you go back into the product description it has cut it off. Like there is limit in place. i.e It is cutting off at 4000 chars ?
Our mappings didn't take into account long texts of 4k+ chars as you've found. Fortunately it's an easy fix, which I've already implemented in my dev environment. I'll release a tiny update with the fix today, so you can get on with it :)
Did you drop this out in a release yesterday? Will it cause a number a change i.e 1.3.0.3 ? I have just been looking for the number to change before downloading and installing.

I didn't manage to get the release ready yesterday as expected, however, it's here now.
Download uCommerce 1.3.0.3 with support fordescriptions longer than 4.000 chars.
