    uCommerce Store 1.1.1.0 doesn't work

I've installed this along with uCommerce 1.5.1.0 on top of Umbraco 4.7. Followed the video as far as adding hostname to Content/uCommerce node – then, when I try to follow the next step and expand Commerce/uCommerce/Product Catalog… there's nothing there!

There's nothing there when I drill down into Settings/Catalog/Definitions, Price Groups, Data Types or Product Relations either (not sure if there's supposed to be).

Are you getting any information in the umbracoLog table?

    Other things to check are:

    • AppPool user must have write access to the website folder to modify web.config
    • You're using Microsoft SQL Server

I've reinstalled thr store; reinstalled ucommerce and the store; deleted site and database and started again – but get same result.

web.config does appear to be modified (there's a .backup file after install), and I'm using MS SQL Server Express 2008 (which is also running several other Umbraco installations on the same server).

There are errors in the Umbraco log, but this forum won't let me post them.

Could you e-mail the relevant log info to soren.spelling.lund AT ucommerce DOT dk? I'll take a look for you.

    Thanks.

Soren looked at Umbraco logs I sent (offline from this forum) and replied that SQL connection appears to time out before Ucommerce install has had time to update the database properly. Suggested assigning more resources, and that he'd seen this once before and would look into increasing the timeout in future versions. So I reinstalled on a different machine with more RAM and it worked fine.

Wonderful. I'm glad to hear it. I'm upping the timeout on the connection during install to ensure that it won't be an issue in the future.
