I have a question regarding the uCommerce edition I would need to go for. I am considering Pro edition, however I'm not quite clear about handlig VAT prices that would potentially exceed the Pro licence.
We have a requirement to charge VAT for the UK customers. As I see it this can be set with Price Groups. With the Pro licence we are allowed for one price group which we would set to GBP +20%.
Having this Price Group, can the "base price" (without VAT) in GBP still be accessed in checkout? Would it be a solution to set up two GBP currencies, one GBP inc VAT that is affeted by the price group (+20%) and GBP no VAT that has exchange ratio 1:1 not being affected by the price group?
In simple words, from your experience with uCommerce, can the VAT and multiple currencies be handled with Pro edition?
You easily handle a scenario like this with a single price group. You can override the ITaxService interface and make it return zero tax for relevant cases and default tax in others.
You can inherit the TaxService class and override the existing CalculateTax method to get it done. Rememer to register your class in components.config found in /umbraco/ucommerce/configuration when you're ready.

Hope this helps.
