Ucommerce Razor Store clean install and URL Rewriting

I've installed a clean setup of Umbraco 4.9 / uCommerce 3 and the Razor store (v.1.0)

I'm trying to get URL rewriting to work but really I have no clue where to start debugging.

Currently all the links appear in this fashion "demo-store/tops/formal/c-24/c-70"

I've double checked that the rewrite rules are in UrlRewriting.config, I'm using II7 with the app running in integrated mode.

    Many thanks

Are you getting 404s on the links?

Hi Soren, thanks for your reply. I actually solved this problem by re-installing, something mush have been amiss the first time I installed.

Merves, you may want to try posting in a more relevant topic, or start your own thread. However, I've had the problem you describe when using umbraco 4.11, uCommerce 3 and Razor store v1.0. The solution for me was to copy the macroEngine from a previous version of umbraco 4.x, which is probably neither a good or efficient solution and ignores the underlying problem.  I'd strongly suggest starting your own thread on the subject and getting some professional advice.

    Hi Thomas,

I'm interested in your statement about copying a macroEngine from a previous version of Umbraco to make the store work. Did you copy in an older DLL?

Was it just the Razor store that was affected after initial install? Where you able to access the uCommerce back-end?

    Soren,

I had a fully functioning solution. The exception being that wherever a macro was being used I received the message "error loading macroEngine script". I didnt however check to see if macro scripts outside of the Razor store where effected too.

Yes, I coped the umbraco.MacroEngines.dll from bin in Umbraco 4.10 and placed it into the 4.11 bin folder, and I no longer received the error messages I was getting.

Infact this was advice from another Umbraco user, althoguh it was a few weeks ago and even though I searched to findout who posted the solution I cannot find it anymore!

I'm thinking that copying in the DLL actually recycled the apppool and cause data to reload. It might be the reload rather than the old macro engine that solved the issue (the Razor has been found to work with Umbraco 4.11.1).

If you see the issue in the future it might be enough to republish the entire site.

    Just a thought.
