Multilingual shop with same products but different price groups

    Hi,

The task : to create a 3 languages uCommerce solultion. All products for all languages should be the same, just with translations of course. And all that is fine , but ..

The problem : the same shop with three different languages will also need to have different price groups. Like :

Same shop, same products, but default user and 'member' that is logged in should see different prices, for all languages. But it seems that price groups are assigned on shop category. Is it possible to have same products and categories on three langauges and few price groups without duplicating all categories and products in different price group categories ? :)

Damn hope that is clear, because in the end lost it myself :)

    Thanks

The way I would make it you would have dublicates of the categories, but the products you can add to more than one category. Thus addind the product to both English and German categories.

This way you have an English category with one pricegroup. A German category with another pricegroup and one product linked to both categories.

That is the way we normally set it up anyway :)

Thanks for the answer, that made it much clearer.

One more question as in from noobie of ucommerce :) If i have 3 ways the price will be changed and 3 languages, does this mean i should do the 9 price groups (for every member group and language) or let ucomerce to handle currency changing, and just create like 3 member price groups for one language ? :) If so how the price change is handled in ucoomerce and what should i remember to do in my templates :)

At least what is the normal way :)

    Thanks again

I'm not sure I completely understand. But I assume you would just need 3 pricegroups, one for each language, I could be wrong.

Which ways do you need to change the price for each language?
