Configuring the RTE used for long descriptions on categories and products

Is it possible to replace or configure the control which is used for long descriptions in uCommerce?

I would either like to replace it with the RTE editor used on content pages in umbraco or to remove the font type/size and add the other options like insert link to content/media.

Otherwise, I would be happy to just the formatting options on this control to stop editors styling the text.

I know I could add a custom property in uCommerce which references the umbraco RTE but that would be another feilds besides long description in the back office.

    Thanks,

    Adam

As far as I can recall you can't replace that one at the moment as it's baked into the backend. There was talk of allowing us to change the values but I don't think that it has been implented.

You could however add your own if you wanted by adding an Umbraco RTE as a multilingual property.

    Thanks Tim,

I thought that might have been the case.

I have just tried to use the RTE as an additional property in uCommerce but cannot select any umbraco data types which use the TinyMCE control.

Have a look at what I mean in this video.

Looks like uCommerce hasn't build in the wrapper for the umbraco RTE.

Maybe you can implement that on your own? But i'm not sure if that is possible.
