We have created a repository of instances of some custom document type. I know that one can add custom properties to a ucommerce product, but the standard available properties seems to be somewhat limited compared to what one can choose from when creating properties for a document type.
Is this actually the case or can one create ucommerce custom product properties from all umbraco datatypes (especially ucomponents datatypes where some now are part of Umbraco Core)?
Would it be an option to productify a repository of custom content by creating a "container" product and just map to corresponding custom content to the productcontainer?
Small update on this. The reason for asking this is that we wan't to have control over the registration form for the properties of the custom content type. This is very easy in Umbraco with tabs, assigning properties to tabs and changing order of properties.
Therefore it seems very tempting to divide the document type specific properties from the product related properties like price, SKU and variants
