Hi Morten I downloaded the package from the package manager. I don't think I can get the wrong one there? Yeah I got this every time; This is the combinations I tried:

1. UMB 7.0 + Ucomm + SQL CE (did not work, no icon in tray)
2. UMB 7.1 + Ucomm + SQL CE (did not work, no icon in tray)
3. UMB 7.0 + Ucomm + SQL Express (did not work, got icon in tray, but got the error in the original post)
4. UMB 7.1 + Ucomm + SQL Express (did not work, got icon in tray, but got the error in the original post)

I don't have a full SQL Server on my development machine, so I can't try that out.

If there is anything else I can try please tell me I would love to start the new project out on Umbraco 7

I am trying to install UComm Dev on v7.1 umbraco + SQL CE for evaluation and there is no icon in tray after the package installed. Please help...

(done via IIS on Windows 7 localhost)

Hi Ian this (http://www.ucommerce.net/en/support/system-requirements.aspx) states that only SQL server and SQL Express will work

@Morten Apparently I did not install the correct version I did not know the Ucommerce version was referring to the umbraco version number (maybe that should be a little more explicit). I will try the other one Monday and let you know how it goes. PS- the one in the Umbraco Package Manager is for version 6, not 7 so you need to install it externally.

I'm facing the same error: Failed to retrieve data for application tree uCommerce

I'm using SQL Server Express, Umbraco version 7.1.1 assembly: 1.0.5211.22376 and uCommerce 6.0.2.14122.

Also installed the Demo store which works perfectly.

The tracelog shows nothing regarding this error.

Any idea on this?

Hmmm - I don't think i've tried to install this on Umbraco v 7.1.1 - can you please try a 7.1.0 and see if you can get running ? 

I will try to reproduce on 7.1.1 and see if there's a problem with that particular package of Umbraco.

You've installed the wrong package, the one from the package installer will not work on 7.1.1 you need to get the 7.1.1 package from the ucommerce site

I almost guarantee that you downloaded the wrong package it is the last one on the page http://www.ucommerce.net/releases/uCommerce-for-Umbraco7-6.0.2.14122.zip

Please not that there's two packages for Umbraco on the download page. One for Umbraco 6 and one for Umbraco 7.

I saw that, but both versions have version 6.0.2.14122, so i still think you have the wrong package installed

OK, i remember that there are sections for umbraco 6, umbraco 7 and even for sitecore, and i believe that i have choosen the package for umbraco 7, but now you made me uncertain.. ;)

I will double check a bit later. (but i do not think that umbraco 7 would allow me to install a package for umbraco 6)

Umbraco 7 will let you install th umb6 package i had the exactly same error. Because of the wrong package

Having the same problem - uCommerce for Umbraco 7, 6.0.2.14122. I'm using Umbraco 7.1.1 and SQL CE.

Installs the package but no icon in the sidebar.

Two errors in the tracelog:

I had this same problem on Umbraco 7.

Looking at the log, it seems the database scripts (all 84 of them!) hadn't run successfully, as the database user only had db_datareader and db_datawriter permissions.

I ran them manually, and I seem to be able to access them now.

I'm not sure if this level of database permissions is standard for Umbraco 7, or if one of my colleagues has tied it down too much.

Anybody have a clue why I might be seeing this on the production, but not local? I've literally completed the site locally and am doing a final deployment. I've just completed a fresh deployment of both DB and files and I'm seeing this. I'm perplexed at the moment. I'm seeing nothing in the logs. I'd appreciate any insight you can offer!
