Tree picker not working on Media tab

This is latest version of Umbraco (presumably 7.13 as I used webmatrix to install it) and latest version of uCommerce (6.02).

Installation was yesterday and everything worked so was very pleased. Just playing around with the shop items themselves but cant change the images using the media tab. I am, of course, using the Demo Store.

Not even showing the tree picker so all I get is a search box and below that [UMBRACO/DIALOGS/TREEPICKER.ASPX?RND=CCD.......

If i click on where it says [/UMBRACO/DIALOGS .......    it shows the following

If I then click on Choose again, it shows the following:-

I am going round in circles!

    Anyone any suggestions?

    Hi Allan

It's indeed not Umbraco 7.1.3 that's installed - For some reason Microsoft is really slow on updating the product feed so it's not always the latest version of Umbraco that is installed when using webmatrix/web platform installer.

And the screendumps above tells me that it's most likely either Umbraco 6.1.6 or Umbraco 6.2.0 that is installed - Could you try clicking the "Help" button to see what version number it says? Just need to know the exact version before trying to provide further suggestions.

    Cheers, Jan

    Hi Jan,

The version is actually Umbraco version 7.1.1 assembly: 1.0.5220.21856 (clipped from help button)

Got to be 7.0 because this is my first experience of the new menu system and i have been working with V6 for a year now.

Here's what I did. Installed (evidently) 7.1.1 thru webmatrix making sure I used a real version of SQL for my database (not CE) as I know that gives issues with uCommerce. It installed with the Text starter. Then installed the Demo Store. Then changed the content order so that Avenue Clothing was root page at top and everything worked.

Then moved it all into my projects directory (off root) and configured it in IIS to run as a web site from my server.

All works except the media picker.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Allan

Aaah, got confused about the screendumps since it looks like v6...but it's the ucommerce UI that is still showing the legacy layout. My bad.

However Umbraco 7.1.3 was released today so perhaps the issue can be fixed by upgrading to the latest version? You can download v 7.1.3 here and read about how to upgrade http://our.umbraco.org/contribute/releases/713

    Hope this helps.

    /Jan

Ok, I'll have a go at an upgrade to 7.13

In the end I will probably end up re-installing everything in a slightly different way (maybe nuget into VStudio) and it will probably all work!

    Hi Alan,

It looks like you installed uCommerce for Umbraco 6 rather than v7.

Because of the changes in Umbraco 7 we have to ship packages specific to Umbraco 6 and ealier and Umbraco 7.

If you install uCommerce for Umbraco 7 you'll have both the new look and feel and working pickers :)

    Grab the package from uCommerce.net.

    Hope this helps.

What an idiot I am. That explains everything!!

I just didn't scroll down far enough or read the "for Umbraco 6" properly - couldn't be bigger ;-(

Having successfully set up a web site without Tree Picker facility (believe it or not by changing the media content but leaving the links in place and modifying descriptions etc, I don't suppose I can  upgrade it in any way.

No problem if I can't do the above as it always takes 75% less time to redo the lot.

I am very impressed with the product and thank you for all your help in and outside the forum.

    Regards

    Alan
