Hi,I downloaded uCommerce-for-Umbraco-6.0.5.14183 and tried to install the package for Umbraco 6.2.1. The installation has been sucessful. However the icon for uCommerce still do not show up in the "Sections" area even after refreshing the page multiple times. Am I missing something here? Please help.
What you could try is, login to your Umbraco installation, when you are in the Umbraco backoffice, go to the users section. In there open the users folder, and select the current user that you´re logged in to umbraco.
When you have selected the current user, you should get something like this screen, and under sections you should see uCommerce as an option and then just set a tick.
Maybe you then need to logout and in again, before it´s take effect.
It did work for me when I added the section for the user. However, once the uCommerce showed up in the section and I clicked on it, nothing appeared within the uCommerce node. There may have been some problem with the installation and perhaps because of that it didnt show up under the sections in the first place? How can I troubleshoot this?
Last thingyou could try if you have acess to the file system of your Umbraco installation, then you could check the last trace log at /app_data/logs to see if there are any entries marked with "ERROR" in there?, maybe this can give you a better idea of what is wrong.
I looked up in the log files. The problem was that uCommerce was unable to connect to the database. Since am a beginner, I used Sql Server CE during installation of umbraco. Turned out that this was not supported by uCommerce. I installed SQL Server and created a blank DB and then used it for umbraco. I was then successfully able to install uCommerce on top of it.

Good to hear that you get the section showing up, but not good that your uCommerce section is empty.
To me it sound like that you could have problem with the file permissions in your Umbraco installation. http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/reference/files-and-folders/permissions
