So is it free or not free?

Sorry for the stupid question but I really don't get it. So can I use uCommerce for free or not? Also I don't get the feature comparison located here: http://www.ucommerce.net/en/products.aspx#FeatureComparison

There it says that the free version does not support multiple currencies. But I had no problem at all creating multiple currencies with this package https://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/ucommerce

If someone could explain to me how pricing works I would be very happy

    Thanks!

    Hi TempleClause

The reason you are able to use all the features is because you are running it locally.

Localhost (and a couple of other whitelisted names) run without a license to allow for "test runs" of the platform, and test / stagings sites.

You can read more about it here:

    http://www.ucommerce.net/en/support/faq.aspx

    and here

    http://www.publicvoid.dk/StagingSitesWithoutTheDeveloperEditionBanner.aspx

    The short story:

Local you have all features - when your site "go live" you will need a license and run into license restrictions (if any apply)

    Oh okay, I see.

Well then uCommerce is not an option for me. I need multiple languages but I can't afford 2500$ a year, not even making that much profit per year ;-)

    Gotta look into Merchello....

    Thanks
