I think that it would be better when old version property data will be replaced by new version property data. Of course only when the versions number excced the maximum defined constant number in umbraco.config.
Why it would be better? When CMS creates new version then set all the property by inseting them into cmsPropertyData table. Each row in cmsPopertyData table has own id which type is integer.
