I don't think we have this feature just yet. We allow you to free search in the search box but this just searches the persons name / order number.
It is something we want to work on in the future to introduce a more powerful search mechanism to apply multiple filters etc, but right now the free search is all we have.
Thanks for the reply Matt, that's a real shame and a step backwards IMO from teacommerce - I didn't really like the way that had orders either but it was a workable option, all that is needed is a slightly more advanced search with some dropdowns for the statuses.
This will be a deal breaker for the client I was thinking of using it on sadly as they progress orders based on a few different statuses and without filtering it will be unmanageable.
Hopefully you can find time on the roadmap for even a basic search soon.

It's definitely on our list to improve, but for v1.0 it was a question of get something delivered or stay in dev for 6 more months getting every single feature from TC ported over, and with the early launch of v8 we took the decision to port "the essentials" and then make incremental improvements.
So yes, some things may have had to take a small backwards step, but this is in order for us to deliver now and show the direction we are going.
Hopefully Vendr will fit one of your projects soon, and we'll be sure to let you know when more advanced filtering is available.
I spent the afternoon looking at a basic filter mechanism, taking a bit of inspiration from the Umbraco log viewers filter system and this is what I came up with. I need to look at remembering the filters so that they don't just reset when you navigate away, but it's at least a start.

Do let me know if you manage to get it in the next release - if not, would you be able to send me a custom zip of files so I can get client approval - I've got a fully working prototype with Vendr now so this is the only thing missing.
No worries. I just wanted to show that whilst some things are missing, it's not that they are a million miles away and we will be trying to get more features in as soon as we can.
This will likely be in the next minor release, however I do have a bug fix release I need to get out first. If it's just for client approval, I can fire over the files tomorrow for you to just get something working to show them.
Commerce Order List
At present it appears the order list is showing all finalised orders? I cant see a way to search/filter for specific order statuses. Is this possible?
