    Global Payments Payment Gateway Support

    Hello,

We are currently looking at Vendr as a possible eCommerce platform for a new site which will be essentially a re-build of an existing Tea Commerce based site. However, the payment gateway used by the client is Global Payments - is there any chance of a package supporting this through Vendr becoming available in the near future?

    Kind regards,

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

Was this a custom provider your wrote for Tea Commerce? as I don't believe that is a core support provider.

Either way, I don't think we'll likely be looking at it any time soon ourselves as we are only committing to officially support providers we know there is a big demand for. For anything else, we are helping community members to write their own implementations and release them as contributed solutions (essentially, supported by the community).

You can find some info on our docs site about how payment providers work https://vendr.net/docs/core/1-4-0/key-concepts/payment-providers/ and you can review the source code of all our core supported providers at https://github.com/vendrhub?q=payment-providers&type=&language= and the source code for community contributed providers at https://github.com/vendrcontrib?q=payment-provider&type=&language=

If you wrote the custom provider for you TC implementation, then I don't think you'd have a problem porting it to Vendr as they are very similar in worflow.

    Hope this helps

    Matt

Thanks Matt for your super quick reply :-)

I had originally guessed that the Tea Commerce Global Payments support was out of the box but, given what you are saying, the previous site developer must have rolled his own. I'm pretty sure we have access to his original source code (I hope!) so I will take a look and see how viable it is for me to port it over. Your links look to be very helpful towards that end.

    Thanks again,

    Scott
