just spent a good 2 hours trawling through the sprawling documentation that braintree provide - if i'm completely honest, i'm no closer to figuring it out!
but that seems to be the go with braintree/paypal docs...
I'm not aware of anyone who has written a Braintree provider yet so the nearest thing we have is the PayPal one. I think I did review the docs quite a while ago, but never got around to creating one.
If the Braintree docs are anything like the PayPal docs I can say it was "fun" working it out, but if you need any guidance from the Vendr end, do let me know as I'll happily point you in the right direction.

we've been asked to look into this for a client who wants to use tokenised paypal payments with vendr.
thought we'd ask here before we got carried away and started building our own!
