I have a site set up using Vendr v1.8.3. Products were added using a tax class with a rate of 20%. Apparently because the products are books they should in fact be zero rated for VAT. So I've created a new tax class with a rate of 0% and have switched this to be the default tax class on the store node in Settings > Vendr > Stores > 'My Store'. However, when I add a product to cart on the front-end and proceed to checkout it's still breaking out the tax at 20%. I've tried re-adding the product content node and restarting the application pool etc but can't seem to get it to apply the zero rate.
Have you tried completely emptying your cart and re-adding the product to it? Order lines get their prices frozen when they are added to an order to ensure the price they pay is the price they saw it as when they added it to the cart.
Thanks Matt. I'd tried removing the items from the cart so it was empty and re-adding, but that didn't solve it. I've tried clearing cookies completely now and that seems to have done the trick, thanks :)
Changing tax class on Vendr products
Hi,

Any ideas?
Many thanks.
Hi Dan,

Ahh yes, the session manager will remember the "current tax rate" so clearing the cookie will have reset that.
Glad you got it working 👍
