    Manual Cart

    Hi Matt,

    Thanks so much for the manual cart, looks to be a really good feature, couple of questions for you.

    When I try and add a product to a cart, no results are displayed, searching for a sku also returns no results, not sure if this is another issue I have with the update or a bug - try.vendr.net was not working when I tried so unable to validate it.

    Is there a way to manually finalize a cart? The client I am working with at the moment use session carts and do not use Umbraco members so they would only want to create a cart as a 'manual order' which they would probably take payment over the phone - is this possible, if not let me know and I'll add it as a feature request for consideration.

    Hi Jamie,

    Products not showing is likely a Lucene issue. Try rebuilding your internal index, but nothing will show when the dialog opens, you HAVE to search. Vendr doesn't know how many products there are, so searching ensures we only load relevant products.

    RE manually finalizing a cart, we don't currently support this no. It's something I've thought about, but there was no clear simple solution right now so we just released the editable carts feature as was as a way for store owners to be able to at least support their customers with cart issues.

    Please do raise a feature request with as much info as you can as I could really do with knowing what people want around this.

    Question related to this. I can manually create a cart in the Vendr back office, but can I "do" anything with it after that? Like move it along the order status pipeline?

    Hi Amir,

    The Cart editing feature currently just allows you edit the items / details of an open cart. So maybe a customer is having problems adding something to their cart, or you want to setup a cart for a customer for them to just pay.

    We don't currently have the ability to mark a cart as finalized and thus convert it into an order.
