Add or change items on an existing order

    Hi Matt,

Is there any way to enable finalized orders to be edited in the same way that carts can be edited? I have a client whose orders sometimes change after they've been placed and this is something they're really keen to have in.

    Kind regards

    Phil

Actually I've just looked into how it works in Magento 1 and I think it cancels the old order and create a new one, so that could work. I'll look into this as a stop gap for our client.

But if there were some way to edit orders out the box it would be a killer feature.

    Hey Phil,

There isn't no unfortunately. We can't allow anything that would affect the order total as otherwise it was start to cause inconsistancies with how much the customer has paid.

We do have planned to look at the ability to allow partial refunds in future but this isn't under active development right now.

I think the approach you've identified is probably what we would suggest to "just" cancel the order and re-create it.

    Matt
