I've got two different instances of the same site, one staging and one live.
Due to a mistake the client has been populating content on the staging site (inc. media) and at the same time has created content for the live site as well.
So there are content and media items on both sites with the same IDs, but different content.
Now I have to move the missing content and media from staging to live without overwriting the existing content on live.
I'm thinking of using uSync.Content to export it all and then import it on live. Would that work, or will it overwrite the existing content?
uSync doesn't actually use the id's when syncing it uses the internal GUID values - and they should be diffrent.
You might find that uSync will struggle in some instances to find the parent content node to put some of the content under (if for example the names / doctypes / structure doesn't match exactly) - but even then content will come over (it might just be in a separate tree) and you can move it about as needed.

That's great. Will give it a go and see how it goes.
