Failing Anchor Links in 4.71 - Can you hear us?

Does anyone have a clue what the status of this is and whether or not anchor links work in the backend (admin) in the newest version of 4.11.x in all browsers?

Clearly the anchor links only work in Firefox in 4.71. They insert an image in chrome and nothing in IE. What should we tell our users.  Switch browsers depending on which feature in Umbraco has a bug in it?

The work order to which this relates is a dead link and it appears people are flailing around in vain to to try to solve this. It apears taht there has been no input from HQ despite this being a real basic issue.  see:

    Hi Richard

As mentioned elsewhere I've not been able to recreate this bug in 4.11 - So please try go make a test installation and see if you can reproduce. All codeplex issues that were not fixed when the new issue tracker was introduced moved to http://issues.umbraco.org - every issue concerning this topic I've seen has been fixed or has the comment "not been able to reproduce".

It's only natural that you need to move to a newer version to have a bug fixed. You can't expect having bugs fixed for v4.7 when the recommended version is now 6. If the bug still remains in the latest versions (4.11 and 6) then it's fair to feel frustrated about it and then letting the core now that it's still an issue.

    Cheers,
    Jan
