Hi,
Can you create a forum using umbraco? If not, what software does this forum run upon and should I use that?
Thanks / Ryan
Hi Ryan,
There is a project called uForum ... which this forum itself is based on - however I'm not sure of the current development status.
http://uforum.codeplex.com/
An alternative is to use YAF and integrate it with Umbraco via user-controls.

Cheers, Lee.
uforum seem better, but just curious .. how our.umbraco.org create this simple but sufficient forum... is there anyway for us to get this fourm package (used by our.umbraco.org)
... the word on the street is "good things come to those who wait".
LOL you rite Lee, will wait and see :)
Do we stille need to wait? : )
Yes... exciting isn't it? :-D
Any news from the street?
It seems that my "sources" were wrong! :-(
The new word on the street is that Lee Messenger is coding up a storm! http://twitter.com/leemessenger/status/27410163115761665
Bah.
Never trust those on the street. They'll be talking jive you dig?
Seems like your name brother has something cool coming up so I'll keep an eye on that
Cheers
Kristian
It will be wise if umbraco team repackage 'this' forum package. i think the forum in our.umbraco.org is sufficient for us :)
I second that! It would be great if we could get the source for this (our.umbraco.org forum)!
So no forum software, I guess.
Check out the nForum package - seems to be pretty popular, has a lot of features and is open source!
