Recently we heard from a customer that another CMS "CraftCms" has the function of a live preview. This means that while changing an input, the preview mode automatically reloads itself.
Since this is a really great feature, I wanted to know if there is such a thing for Umbraco (e.g. as a package).
The grid control is trying to show the editor what the content will look like in the back office as the editor makes changes to the content.
Also, stacked content has preview options but both these options are more like replicas of the real site so can vary quite significantly from the actual front end.
I had a look at the FE-Package but it seems to be out of date. I'm looking for a U8-Solution. Also creating a replica of the site, doesn't seem to be a straight-forward solution.
I didn't know Stacked Content had such a feature, but this preview is for stacked content editor only..
Live Preview in Umbraco
Hello all,
Recently we heard from a customer that another CMS "CraftCms" has the function of a live preview. This means that while changing an input, the preview mode automatically reloads itself.
Since this is a really great feature, I wanted to know if there is such a thing for Umbraco (e.g. as a package).
Is there anything like this?
Thanks, Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
There is this package https://our.umbraco.com/packages/website-utilities/frontend-editing/
The grid control is trying to show the editor what the content will look like in the back office as the editor makes changes to the content.
Also, stacked content has preview options but both these options are more like replicas of the real site so can vary quite significantly from the actual front end.
Cheers, David
Hi David,
thank you very much for your reply!
I had a look at the FE-Package but it seems to be out of date. I'm looking for a U8-Solution. Also creating a replica of the site, doesn't seem to be a straight-forward solution.

Isn't there a working solution for this?
