I need to implement site search functionality on an Umbraco v4.5 website. Nothing fancy - just search all published content and display search results with links to the found pages.
What is the easiest way of doing that? I've checked umbraco videos bud could not find anything :(
You can use one of the search packages available on our or the new build in Examine engine.
The most common packages are my Simple Search for Umbraco (http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/simple-search-for-umbraco) or Dougs great XsltSearch (http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/xsltsearch)
