    Problem installing blog4umbraco

    Hi

I've been having trouble with the blog4umbraco package, so I uninstalled it and attempted a reinstall.

However, it fails with the following error.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Scripting.ExtensionAttribute, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I've checked and there is no microsoft.scripting.extensionatttribute.dll in the bin dir of the site, but neither is there one in my original build folder that I downloaded from the umbraco site. I'm using 4.5.2.

Should this .dll be installed by the blog installer?

That's something to do with the DLR I think. Do you have .Net 4 on your machine?

It is installed by the host yes, apparently I have 1.1, 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 on there.

How best can I resolve the problem? Do I need to get them to switch off 4.0 for my site?

I'm not sure. I think that DLL should be installed as part of the framework install (although I could be wrong). Have you asked your host about it?

The hosts confirmed that this dll was part of the framework but I still encountered problems until I copied the dll into the bin directory. it then installed correctly.
