    sort not working after moving a site...

    has anyone else experienced the sort dialog just spinning and spinning after moving a site??? i deleted the umbraco.config to let it rebuild, etc. but still not working... the sort never happens and the popup window just spins and spins.

    Which versions of Umbraco are we talking about guys? Just asking because this might be a general bug, but it just sounds weird. I have moved several sites from a DEV server to TEST to STAGING to LIVE, but I've never experienced this problem before :S - So it could be quite interesting to know which versions you are using.

    okay, sorry to have asked an incredibly vague question like this.. i should know better...

    anyway, here is what was happening... i was missing some references in my web.config -- my hosting partner had compiled a specific web.config to help with migrating a bunch of sites and some important references were missing.

    if i find out what they were i will post for sure.

    Sorry guys, i think the sort issue has a lot to do with my site. I just moved the content and i guess the hosting server was doing some sort of provisioning which was delayed.  Everything now works great.

    Thanks!

    Ahh okay, that makes sense then :)

    @Bob:

    Wound be interesting if you could find out which references where missing. It's a good thing to know in the future if anything strange like this happens.
